Dr. M. R. Surwade
Dr. M.R. Surwade is a nationally and internationally renowned health management consultant specialized in Public Health & Hospital Planning. He acquired his M.B.B.S. and M.D. from All India Institute of Medical Sciences and M.B.A. from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. He worked as Deputy Director Health Services for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, for 7 years in Delhi and as Project Officer (Health and Nutrition) for UNICEF for 12 years in the States of Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh providing technical and managerial support for many national health programmes such as CSSM, RCH I & II, and Urban Health. These states have the largest tribal population in India.
During his tenure as Deputy Director Health Services, Dr Surwade was responsible for Urban Health Programme in Delhi focusing on the slum population for which he conceptualized, designed and operationalized Mobile Health Scheme which is still functional. Dr Surwade also headed the School Health Scheme of Delhi Government comprising of 71 School Health Clinics and 5 Specialist referral Centres. While working for Unicef, Dr Surwade has been the National level Master Facilitator for CSSM and RCH trainings, planning for Districts and states and supported community based health programmes. He facilitated development of 32 Community Health Centres for providing health care for urban slum dwellers in Ranchi managed by women Self Help Groups.
Dr Surwade has provided technical and managerial leadership in providing consultancy support for NRHM planning to many states including North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim. Dr Surwade has been the policy advisor to many states and has been a Member of National Level Working Group on Telemedicine set up by Planning Commission and Review Mission for RCH Programme. Recently Dr Surwade led Humatrix team facilitating development of State Health & Population Policy for Sikkim. Applying Information & Communication Technology to improve access to health services he designed and operationalized Telemedicine Networks in Madhya Pradesh and for Tsunami affected population in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. Dr Surwade developed a training module for telecentre managers for operationalizing the telemedicine centres under the telecentre.org initiative of IDRC, Microsoft and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

T.P Singh is a reputed management consultant with more than two decades of experience and distinctive achievements in the fields of ITeS, Supply Chain Management, HRD and Strategic Planning. He is highly skilled and effective corporate trainer and facilitator of processes for skills development. His expertise lies in developing corporate and business unit strategies, leading large-scale corporate (change management) programs, creating market entry strategies, leadership development, business process reengineering, cost savings through application of technology and capacity building. T.P.Singh experience covers a range of industries, including healthcare and defence. In the latter his intensive experience is in the process of procurement using best international practices for consumer goods and retail, medical equipment, devices, technology and industrial goods & services.
T.P.Singh heads the Supply & Logistics Division of Humatrix and is the key expert in capacity building programmes. He also leads organization’s initiative for excellence in Supply Chain Management in Health Sector.
T.P.Singh has to his credit two National Awards - National Golden Peacock Award for Innovative Management 2002 and National E-Governance Award 2003.
T.P.Singh earned an MBA from MDI Gurgaon, MCA from NIIT, New Delhi, and Post Graduation from Madras University and Graduation from JNU, New Delhi.
He is a qualified Lead Auditor ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System, 14001: 1996 Environment Management System and NATO Codification System.
Dr. Vidya Surwade
Dr Vidya is a Public Health Expert with more than 20 years of experience of working. She acquired her M.D. (Preventive and Social Medicine) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences after her
M B B S from Seth G S Medical College, Bombay.
Dr Vidya worked on the position of Epidemiologist for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and with international organizations such as UNFPA, CARE India, Action Aid, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, IntraHealth International and INCLEN.
Presently Dr Vidya is the Director of Humatrix Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. She is leading Humatrix’s Clinical Research Division and presently coordinating the phase III clinical trials on anti cancer drug through 9 centres in India.
Working as the Advisor, Knowledge to Practice for IntraHealth International for its USAID funded Vistaar project, Dr Vidya was the Theme Leader for evidence review on: “Community Health Planning”. She also supported another theme “Anemia Prevention and Treatment”. Her responsibilities included reviewing literature, developing screening criteria, summarizing the short-listed interventions for these themes, writing a concept paper, organizing evidence review meeting, with technical experts and other partners.
Dr Vidya was the Team Leader and a member of Central Coordinating Team, with INCLEN, for Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood (IMNCI) evaluation Project which was being implemented by Government of India and funded by UNICEF and USAID. She provided technical support and guidance for developing the multi-centric project (16 selected districts from 8 states of India), organization of International, National and regional workshops. She was in-charge for Internship training programme and supervised activities of Interns from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Emory University and a medical student from Sidney, Australia. Dr Vidya worked as Project Coordinator for UNFPA and provided technical and managerial leadership to the Reproductive Health Project in Bihar. Under very challenging situations she successfully managed the project right from conceptualization stage. She not only built local capacity for implementing reproductive health programmes in the state but also facilitated institutional and systems strengthening with a focus on women’s rights.
Dr Vidya, as International Consultant for David and Lucile Packard Foundation, California, investigated leadership development needs and opportunities with regard to Reproductive Health, Population and Family Planning, in Bihar and Jharkhand and developed a roadmap for India Leadership Development Program.
As an Epidemiologist, Dr Vidya was responsible for STD Control Programme including AIDS. She was also responsible for training on STD & AIDS for Medical Officers and paramedics including Lab Technicians working in North India.
